Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Shift Pattern: Continental Shifts (12-hour shifts) or Days/Backs/Nights

NT Engineering & Manufacturing are delighted to be partnering with a well-established manufacturer in Larkhall to recruit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their growing engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased maintenance engineer looking to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you'll play a key role in maintaining production equipment, reducing downtime and driving continuous improvement.
Working as part of a skilled engineering team, you'll carry out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support, ensuring machinery operates safely and efficiently.
The Role
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across manufacturing equipment.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns, diagnosing and repairing electrical faults.
- Support continuous improvement activities to improve plant reliability.
- Work on motors, drives, control panels, sensors and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Complete maintenance documentation and communicate effectively during shift handovers.
- Support apprentices and work alongside production teams to minimise downtime.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Time-served Electrical Maintenance Engineer.
- Electrical bias with 17th or 18th Edition qualification.
- Previous manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive approach with excellent communication skills.
- Hydraulic experience would be advantageous.
Shift Patterns
Continental Shift Pattern (12-hour shifts)
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday
- Week 2: Wednesday & Thursday
- Rotating between:
- 6:00am – 6:00pm (2 weeks)
- 6:00pm – 6:00am (2 weeks)
Weekly rotating shifts:
- 6:00am – 2:00pm
- 2:00pm – 10:00pm
- 10:00pm – 6:00am
