Multiskilled Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on production machinery and site equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on three-phase systems, motors, drives, control panels, and associated equipment.
- Perform mechanical maintenance including bearings, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and pneumatic systems.
- Fault-find and resolve breakdowns quickly and effectively.
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment as required.
Requirements
- Time-served engineer with recognised engineering apprenticeship.
- Strong electrical skills with proven experience working on three-phase systems.
- Multi-skilled background with both electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Experience of fault finding on industrial machinery and control systems.
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements within an industrial environment.
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills
- PLC fault-finding experience.
- Experience within manufacturing, production, food processing, or industrial environments.
- 18th Edition qualification.
- Experience with inverters, drives, and automated equipment.
