NT Engineering & Manufacturing is recruiting on behalf of a leading civil engineering and energy infrastructure contractor for a Site Engineer to join its Energy Team on a major electricity transmission framework in Caithness.
The business is known for its in-house expertise and for innovating to add value for customers. It delivers design, construction and commissioning for projects that secure the UK’s energy supply for decades to come, working with major energy providers across four countries.
What you’ll be doing
- Setting out the works accurately and controlling dimensions
- Resolving technical problems at every level
- Carrying out inspections in line with the Inspection and Test Plan
- Producing survey information and red-lined drawings for as-built records
- Making sure equipment is calibrated and in date, and that construction follows the contract requirements and procedures
- Giving site teams clear, accurate information, and checking project environmental requirements and the storage and suitability of materials
- Supporting the Site Management team with KPIs, material reconciliation and progress reports
What we’re looking for
- A degree in Civil Engineering or similar
- Previous experience in an engineer role on construction or civil engineering projects
- Experience in surveying and setting out
- A sound understanding of quality, safety, health, environmental and sustainability requirements
