About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer. Working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electrical systems and production equipment to ensure maximum operational efficiency and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical equipment and machinery.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and perform fault finding to minimise production downtime.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on motors, drives, control panels, sensors, PLC-controlled systems, and associated equipment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and performance.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with company procedures and health & safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS system.
- Assist with installation, commissioning, and modification of machinery and equipment.
- Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to achieve operational targets.
Requirements
Essential
- Recognised electrical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent).
- Experience in an electrical maintenance role within a manufacturing, production, FMCG, logistics, or industrial environment.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience working with PLC-controlled machinery.
- Good understanding of electrical drawings and schematics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a shift engineering team.
Desirable
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
- Knowledge of Siemens, Allen Bradley, or Mitsubishi PLC systems.
- Experience with automated production or packaging equipment.
- IOSH or health & safety qualifications.
