Bottling & Procurement Manager
Permanent
Speyside
Are you experienced in bottling operations, production planning and procurement? Looking for an opportunity to join an ambitious, growing spirits business?
I'm supporting a well-established, independent distilling business with the appointment of a Bottling & Procurement Manager to join its Supply Chain & Logistics team.
With an exciting portfolio of spirits brands, a growing international presence and significant investment in its distilling operations, this is an opportunity to join a business with ambitious plans for the future.
This is a key role combining bottling operations, production planning, supplier management and procurement for new product development (NPD). You'll play an important part in ensuring products move seamlessly from raw materials and maturing spirit through to finished, market-ready bottles.
What will you be responsible for?
-
Bottling operations: Lead production planning across third-party bottling facilities, coordinating schedules, capacity, materials and production requirements to ensure deadlines are met.
-
Production performance: Monitor bottling output, investigate yield variances and stock discrepancies, resolve operational challenges and drive continuous improvement.
-
Procurement & supplier management: Source packaging components, dry goods and other materials, negotiate commercial terms and build strong supplier relationships.
-
New product development: Work closely with NPD and Design teams to bring new products to market, ensuring packaging specifications, costs, lead times and materials are aligned.
-
Quality & compliance: Ensure products meet agreed specifications, quality standards and service expectations throughout the bottling process.
-
Supply chain coordination: Collaborate with blending, commercial, finance and external bottling and warehouse partners to maintain continuity of supply.
-
Team support: Provide day-to-day guidance to the Supply Chain Coordinator, helping drive consistency and best practice.
What are we looking for?
-
Proven experience in bottling operations, production planning and third-party manufacturing management.
-
Strong procurement and supplier negotiation experience, ideally within drinks, FMCG or consumer goods.
-
Excellent knowledge of spirits, particularly whisky, and an understanding of production and bottling processes.
-
Strong commercial awareness, balancing cost, quality, lead times and operational requirements.
-
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
-
Confident communication and relationship-building skills across internal teams and external suppliers.
-
Strong analytical and systems capability, including Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
-
A practical, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
The opportunity
-
Permanent, full-time position.
-
Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm.
-
Based in the Speyside area.
-
Join a growing business with an exciting portfolio of spirits brands and ambitious plans for the future.

A varied position combining operational delivery, commercial negotiations and new product development.
