About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with strong CAD/CAM expertise who can support manufacturing operations, improve production processes, and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality components and products.
The successful candidate will have solid experience using SolidWorks and ideally possess offline programming experience with Mastercam integrated with SolidWorks.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain manufacturing drawings, models, and documentation using SolidWorks.
- Develop and optimise manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Generate and support CNC programs using Mastercam (preferably offline programming within the SolidWorks environment).
- Work closely with production, quality, and design teams to ensure manufacturability of components and assemblies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing facility.
- Assist with tooling design, fixture development, and process validation activities.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience in a Manufacturing Engineer role.
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Desirable
- Experience with Mastercam, particularly offline programming linked to SolidWorks.
- CNC machining knowledge and programming experience.
- Experience within precision engineering or low-to-medium volume manufacturing environments.
- Continuous improvement or lean manufacturing experience.
