About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with strong CAD/CAM expertise who can support manufacturing operations, improve production processes, and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality components and products.

The successful candidate will have solid experience using SolidWorks and ideally possess offline programming experience with Mastercam integrated with SolidWorks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain manufacturing drawings, models, and documentation using SolidWorks.
  • Develop and optimise manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Generate and support CNC programs using Mastercam (preferably offline programming within the SolidWorks environment).
  • Work closely with production, quality, and design teams to ensure manufacturability of components and assemblies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing facility.
  • Assist with tooling design, fixture development, and process validation activities.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.

Requirements

Essential

  • Proven experience in a Manufacturing Engineer role.
  • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks.
  • Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Desirable

  • Experience with Mastercam, particularly offline programming linked to SolidWorks.
  • CNC machining knowledge and programming experience.
  • Experience within precision engineering or low-to-medium volume manufacturing environments.
  • Continuous improvement or lean manufacturing experience.
