Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Weighing Technician with a background in mechatronics, electrical/electronics, and system integration. The role involves carrying out installations, repairs, and servicing of industrial weighing systems and related equipment. While prior weighing industry experience is an advantage, it is not essential—comprehensive training will be provided.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out installations and repairs of weighing systems and associated control equipment.
  • Calibrate, service, and maintain weighing systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and mechatronic components.
  • Integrate weighing equipment with broader process control and automation systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and system upgrades.
  • Provide technical support to customers both on-site and remotely.
  • Prepare service reports and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Travel to customer sites, including extended periods working away from home when required.

Requirements:

  • Diploma trade qualification in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering/Technology.
  • knowledge of electrical/electronic systems,
  • Hands-on skills in troubleshooting, repairing, and installing technical equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a practical, customer-focused approach.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel extensively and work away from home.
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform manual lifting as part of installations and servicing.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Desirable (Added Advantage):

  • Experience with industrial weighing systems, load cells, and calibration.
  • Familiarity with automation, sensors, and control systems.
  • Background in industrial servicing or field technician roles.
  • PLCs, and system integration.
